My Top 3 Priorities

  • I will work to expand affordable health care and reduce the cost of prescription drugs.
  • I will protect the American worker by eliminating tax breaks for big corporations that ship jobs overseas.
  • I will protect Social Security and Medicare

Embry Riddle Univrsity Bachelor of Science, Professional Aeronautics (current)

I am the democratic candidate running for Congresses in Ca district 23

I am a Air Force Veteran, I have been an Aircraft Mechanic, a Systems Engineer and I was a single working mom. While working full time, I went to college and earned my bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics. And somewhere in the middle of all that I got married had a child and got divorced.

I am running for Congress because we need a Representative who will fight for the people.

As a veteran and a patriot I understand and value the oaths I took to defend the Constitution and it offends me that apparently Kevin McCarthy does not.

From being a mechanic I know the value of hard work. As a single working mom I really get the challenges of balancing home, work and finding good childcare. My experience as a systems engineer means I can identify problems, find solutions, and get those solutions put in place.

Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters of California (3)

What programs or legislation, if any, would you support to help Americans of all ages to secure affordable health care?
Answer from Kim Mangone:

I support a Universal Healthcare plan for everyone that lets people keep their private insurance if they want to. Everyone from a ditch digger to a nurse to an engineer should be able to get medical care without going broke. Our whole system needs to be fixed. Including prescription drug prices, hospital costs, and doctor charges

Describe an immigration policy that you would support if presented to the House of Representatives.
Answer from Kim Mangone:

First we made citizenship promises to the people serving in our military and to the Dreamers. We need to honor those promises. We have 12 million undocumented people living in this country. We cannot fix this unless we provide a path to citizenship. We need to put a workable immigration plan in place that allows for immigration and stops the family seperation.

What financing method(s) would you support to repair or improve roads, rails, ports, airports, the electrical grid, and other infrastructure in the U.S.?
Answer from Kim Mangone:

I support federally funded programs to update and maintain our infrastructure. I believe companies making profits from that infrstructure should help pay for it.
